Most of CastHub is a working tool: cards, filters, castings, messages. The showcase is the one part that faces the public — a page where talent who chose to be there can be browsed by anyone, without an account.
Opting in
The showcase is off until you turn it on. When you do, your photo, name, roles and city become public and can receive support. Your measurements, portfolio detail and contact information stay private either way — turning on the showcase does not open your professional data to the public. You can turn it off again whenever you want.
What support is
Support is a simple positive signal. Someone who likes your card can support it, and the showcase can be sorted by how much support a profile has received. That is the whole mechanic.
What support is not
- Not a vote in a contest. There is no competition running, no prize, and no elimination.
- Not negative. There is no way to down-vote or to remove support from someone else's profile — only your own.
- Not a payment. Support costs nothing and cannot be bought.
- Not a booking signal. Companies cast from cards, filters and applications. Support does not put you in front of a casting director; a complete card does.
Who can give support
Followers and companies can support talent. Talent accounts cannot support other talent — people competing for the same job should not be ranking each other, and you cannot support your own profile either. Those two rules keep the number from becoming a popularity trade between accounts.
Age and consent
Nobody under eighteen appears in the showcase. Nobody appears there without opting in. And a profile that opts out disappears from the public page immediately, including from the support ranking.
Should you turn it on?
If you are starting out and want to be found by people who are not yet searching your specific role, the showcase adds a second way in. If you would rather stay visible only inside the professional side of the platform, leave it off — every casting, filter and company search works exactly the same either way.
