FAQ

Account

Creating an account takes a minute and costs nothing:

  • Click Join Free on the homepage.
  • Choose what you are: talent (actor, model, fashion model, brand face), company (producer, agency, brand) or follower.
  • Enter your name, email address, username and password.
  • Agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
  • Click Create account.
  • Check your inbox for the 6-digit code and enter it to verify your email.

Once verified you can build your card, upload your portfolio and apply to castings. The account type you pick decides what you see, so choose the one that matches how you will use CastHub.

After registration we send a 6-digit code to the address you entered. Type it into the verification screen to activate your account.

If the code has not arrived:

  • Check your spam or junk folder.
  • Make sure the address you typed is correct.
  • Request a new code from the verification screen.

The code expires after 60 minutes. If it expires, just request a new one — requesting a new code cancels the previous one.

If you have forgotten your password:

  • Go to the login page.
  • Click Forgot your password?
  • Enter the email address on your account.
  • Open the reset link we email you.
  • Enter your new password twice.

The reset link expires after 60 minutes. If it expires, request a new one. Open the link while signed out — if you are already signed in on that device, sign out first.

To delete your account permanently:

  • Go to Settings.
  • Scroll to the Danger zone section.
  • Enter your current password to confirm.
  • Click Delete account.

Warning: this is permanent and cannot be undone. Your card, photos, locked album, messages and casting applications are removed. Companies that already downloaded your material keep their own copies — deleting your account does not reach outside CastHub.

Castings

A casting is a listing posted by a company account. It carries a title, a description, the roles wanted, the shoot dates, an application deadline and a pay note.

  • Anyone can read an open casting, including visitors who are not signed in.
  • Only talent accounts can apply, and applying is free.
  • The applicant list is never public — only the company that posted the casting sees who applied.

When you apply, your full card (measurements, sizes and portfolio) opens to that company only.

Every application moves through clear states, and you can see yours at any time under My applications.

  • Applied — the company has your application.
  • Shortlisted — you are on the shortlist for this job.
  • Invited — the company invited you; check your messages.
  • Selected — you got the job. Fee and terms are agreed directly with the company.
  • Not selected — not this time. Your profile stays visible for other castings.

CastHub does not handle payments and takes no commission on work you get.

Only company accounts — producers, agencies and brands — can post castings. Talent and follower accounts cannot.

  • You can post a casting before your company is verified, and talent can apply to it.
  • Until verification is complete you see only the public part of an applicant's profile; measurements, sizes and portfolio detail stay closed.
  • The pay note is free text. CastHub does not process payments, so write the terms clearly for applicants.

Profile

Open Edit profile from the sidebar or the profile menu. There you can update:

  • Your photo, name, city and the roles you play.
  • Your professional fields: height, bust, waist, hips, shoe size and clothing size.
  • Your experience, in plain language, most relevant first.
  • Your showreel link.

Click Save changes at the bottom. Remember the split: photo, name, roles and city are public; measurements, sizes, portfolio detail and contact information are shown only to verified company accounts.

You can upload from the gallery page or from Edit profile:

  • Click the + button or drag files in.
  • Supported formats: JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, up to 5 MB each.
  • Set one photo as your main image — this is the first thing a casting professional sees.
  • Drag photos to change their order.

Swimwear and lingerie shots belong in the locked album, not the public gallery. Only verified company accounts can ask to see the locked album, and nothing opens without your approval.

Verification adds a badge to your profile showing that you are a real person. To get verified:

  • Open the verification page from the sidebar.
  • Upload a clear photo of your government-issued ID (passport, driving licence or national ID).
  • Upload a selfie holding that document next to your face.
  • Submit for review.

Our team reviews every request by hand. You will receive an email when your verification is approved or if we need a clearer document. Your ID images are used for the check only — they are never shown on your profile.

Open Edit profile and complete the professional fields: height, bust, waist, hips, shoe size and clothing size.

  • These fields are what companies filter on. An empty field means you are skipped by those searches.
  • Measure honestly and update the numbers when they change.
  • Measurements are shown only to verified company accounts, never to the public.

Premium

Premium is optional. A free talent account can build a full card, upload a portfolio and apply to every open casting.

Premium adds:

  • Unlimited messaging — write without a daily limit.
  • See who viewed your card — know which companies opened your profile.
  • Advanced filters — narrow the talent pool or the casting list by more criteria.
  • Priority support — faster answers from our team.

Premium does not improve your chances in a casting. Companies choose from cards, filters and applications; a complete card is what puts you in front of them. See the Premium page for current plans.

To upgrade:

  • Click Upgrade in the sidebar or header.
  • Choose a plan and duration.
  • Select your payment method.
  • Complete the payment.

Premium features are active as soon as the payment succeeds. Longer plans cost less per month. If you subscribe through the Apple App Store, Apple handles the billing and the renewal.

It depends where you bought it.

  • Bought on our website: plans are one-time purchases, not recurring subscriptions. Your access stays active until the expiry date and then simply ends. There is nothing to cancel and no automatic renewal.
  • Bought through the Apple App Store: the subscription renews automatically and Apple charges it. Turn off automatic renewal in your device App Store settings to stop it.

If you have a billing question, contact Support from inside the app.

Messages

To write to someone:

  • Open their profile.
  • Click Message.
  • Type and press Enter, or click Send.

Free accounts have a daily message limit; Premium removes it. A message that says why you are writing — which casting, which role, which dates — gets answered far more often than a greeting on its own.

If a company writes first, everything it needs is already on your card. You never have to send measurements or private photos through chat.

To block: open their profile or your conversation with them and click the block button. They can no longer message you or see your profile.

To report: open their profile, click Report, choose a reason and add any detail. Reports go to the CastHub team, not to the other person.

Report anything that asks you to move the conversation elsewhere straight away, asks for private photos through chat instead of the locked album request, or asks you to pay to be considered. Our team reviews reports quickly.

Safety & Privacy

The platform is built around one split: what is public and what is professional.

  • Your photo, name, roles and city are the public part.
  • Your measurements, sizes, portfolio detail and contact information are shown only to verified company accounts.
  • Your locked album opens only when you approve a request, and you can revoke access at any time.
  • Your email address and phone number are never shown to other members.
  • Your ID documents are used for verification only and never appear on your profile.

You can block anyone at any time. Data is encrypted in storage and we comply with the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR. Read the Privacy Policy for the full detail.

Nobody by default. A locked album stays closed until you open it for a specific account.

  • Only a verified company account can send you a request.
  • Followers and other talent accounts cannot request it at all.
  • You approve or ignore each request, and you can revoke access at any time without giving a reason.

Keep swimwear and lingerie photos in the locked album rather than your public gallery.

Verification is an identity check on a company account. Until it is complete, the account is a registered company, not a verified one.

  • Verified companies see the full card: measurements, sizes, portfolio detail and contact information.
  • Only verified companies can request a locked album — and you still decide.
  • The verified badge is visible on the company profile, so you can check before replying.
